Sil's Birthday!

10 Sept 07- Birthday Feast

Once again, we have a 3-days series birthday celebration for our next special housemate- Sil! Elain cooked mee sua for her on Friday morning, we surprised her with delicious choco molten cake when we were up at the blue mountains and the finale was the 'high class' western feast!!!

We bought good quality beefsteak (it was on quicksale... muhaha) from Woolies and red wine from the bottleshop. I followed a beef steak receipe which I found online- had an exciting time cooking the steak! Haha...it was challenging but fun!


*Dddrrrrrr...(drum roll)* *Piang!! (cymbal clash)* Presenting the feast!! Juicy, tender steak with spaghetti and brocolli; sweet and creamy pumpkin soup and red wine to top up the meal!

14 Sept 07- Appreciation Feast

To thank us for the birthday celebration, Sil cooked up a storm on Friday too!

Yummy jap style chicken chop with rice, crispy cabbage salad, corn and hot piping miso soup! I really liked the refreshing salad and the crispy-on-the-outside-tender-on-the-inside chicken chop!

Joan was invited for the yummy dinner and she stayed over for the night too! We continued the take-photo-with-guest-before-dinner tradition but this time round it was a really formal one... haha.. trying to be funny but cannot make it lah.

This is worse...trying to be cute...but turned out.. ahemm...

Yup, that marks the end of the series of birthday celebration. Really glad that the birthday girl enjoyed herself on her special day! Thanks for the wonderful dinner Sil! =)
